Burn Permits
Denton Township does require a burn permit for one half acre parcel or larger. Before stopping by the office to fill out a burn permit, please go to www.michigan.gov/burnpermit and use the “interactive map” to view the burn conditions for our area.
If a burn permit is issued it is important to find out if burning is permitted each day, it could prevent possible mishaps and/or fines. Please call 1-866-922-2876 or view the “interactive map”.
Campfires do not require a burn permit. Please refer to Denton Township Ordinance, Chapter 118. Burning, Open for more information.
